  • Digital Marketing Manager, WHSP Medical & WHSP Institute

    Location: Brighton, MA (in-person/hybrid – EST/EDT hours)

Engagement: Full-time Employee (open to Fractional/Contract)

Scope: WHSP Medical & WHSP Institute: social media, digital marketing, content, web, creative, paid media, event and ad hoc support across both entities

    About Us:

WHSP Medical was founded to redefine how female athletes receive care and to transform the future of women’s sports medicine. For too long, women’s sports medicine has been fragmented - treating injuries in isolation and overlooking the critical connections between hormonal health, nutrition, movement patterns, mental well-being, and performance. WHSP Medical’s answer is a new model: one uniting sports medicine, endocrinology, nutrition, mental health, and performance science under one roof. WHSP Medical’s care is directly informed by the cutting-edge research being conducted by its strategic partner, the Women’s Health, Sports & Performance Institute (WHSP Institute).

The WHSP Institutehas been purpose-built for tightly integrated clinical, performance, and translational research and to conduct the outreach needed to ensure research findings positively inform and transform female athletes, their support networks and organizations, and their athletic performance and healthcare landscape. The Institute houses a state-of-the-art physiology laboratory, a research-grade strength and conditioning (S&C) high-performance gym with 3D biomechanical analysis capabilities, a teaching and research metabolic kitchen, and dedicated research space, and partners with leading universities, sports organizations, and governing bodies to deliver peer-reviewed science, clinician education, and field-shaping best practices.

    The Role:

Newly opened in the past seven months, strategic partner organizations WHSP Medical and the WHSP Institute are rapidly growing and need marketing infrastructure that will grow with our organizations. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and wants to be the person who gets things done. We’re seeking an exceptional Digital Marketing Manager to own day-to-day marketing execution across both WHSP Medical and the WHSP Institute.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Social media: Own end-to-end social workflow across both WHSP Medical and the WHSP Institute (briefs → copy → assets → approvals → scheduling → community → measurement → optimization). Build and maintain a rolling 4-week content calendar: IG 1-2×/week per entity plus Stories, LI 1×/week per entity, TikTok (future). Engage with key stakeholders to track event calendars, collect content, and draft/edit/review/publish posts on time, including day-of or day-after events, topics, and interactions.

    • Content creation: Write, edit, and publish posts across educational topics (REDs, ACL, Iron, nutrition, menopause, stress, etc.), team spotlights, athlete stories, awareness month campaigns, and event coverage. Directly and/or in collaboration with content developers, translate clinical and research content into clear, engaging, scientifically accurate posts. Produce and edit Reels both from existing video footage and net new.

    • Build TikTok: Help stand up WHSP Institute TikTok presence.

    • Paid social & paid search: Manage paid social campaigns on Meta – create new ad assets, monitor performance, and optimize or discontinue underperforming ads. Manage paid search including keyword updates, listing management, and performance tracking.

    • Website management: Execute website updates for both whspinstitute.org and whspmedical.com on an ongoing basis to both add and refresh content, ensure SEO is maximized. Maintain UTMs and link-in-bio.

    • Analytics, reporting & recommendations: Pull, analyze, and share regular performance reports covering social, paid media, and website analytics for both entities. Benchmark each organization’s social reach against peer organizations and recommend growth strategies. Establish an ongoing measurement cadence with clear KPIs and recommendations for optimization.

    • Creative & collateral production: Design and produce digital and print materials including social creative, social graphics, branded assets, event invitations and handouts. Maintain and apply brand guidelines consistently across each entity; update guidelines as each brand evolves.

    • Video coordination: Coordinate logistics for athlete and clinician video shoots.

    • Event marketing support: Support event marketing from concept through execution — invitations, RSVP tracking, event collateral, promotional posts, on-site content capture.

    • Community management: Conduct daily scans of comments and DMs across all channels; respond via approved scripts; escalate if/where needed. Actively engage with each organization’s community to build relationships and grow reach.

    • Process & ownership: Help continuously improve the total social and content process. Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment. Assist with ad hoc projects as they arise.
